After spending 25-years in education, John began a journey into full-time ministry with FCA Clay County and as a youth minister with First Baptist Church Orange Park.

As the principal of Bradford Middle School (Starke, FL) he was selected, entrusted, and trained to be one of the first thirteen school guardians in the state of Florida and directed one of the school's largest learning gains in its history. He is the former Director of Education and Special Projects for Seamark Ranch, a specialized residential school for children from families in crisis and previously the principal of Lakeside Junior High School (Orange Park, FL), named one of the top 75 junior high schools in the state of Florida under his leadership. John is also a national presenter for the Center For Teacher Effectiveness, a global leader in professional development, and was recently invited to and completed the Reinhold Corporation's Clay Leadership Program for rising executive leaders.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Education and a Master of Educational Leadership from the University of North Florida, attending on full academic scholarship. John has been an educator for 25 years, serving as substitute teacher, English and Math teacher, at-risk computer lab coordinator, coach, athletic director, mentor, vice principal, director, and principal. During his teaching years, John was named the Clay County Chamber of Commerce Spotlight Teacher, twice named the Florida Star Conference Coach of the Year, and given the Florida Shriner’s most prestigious honor—“The Standing Tall Award”. John’s students, traditionally at-risk, performed exceptionally well on standardized tests, consistently outperforming other classes with learning gains above 80%.

In addition to training for the Center For Teacher Effectiveness, John has also presented with former NFL great Joe Ehrmann and his “Building Men and Women For Others” organization featured by HBO Real Sports and NFL Films and the subject of a best-selling book by Pulitzer Prize winning author Jeffrey Marx. Based on the principles of Joe’s organization, John created and sponsors a mentoring program for young men in public and private schools called REAL Manhood which earned a Promising Practice Award from the Character Education Partnership in Washington, D.C. and the John and Klare Reinhold Foundation Special Judges Award. This also led him to FCA where at each school he served, he volunteered as that school's huddle leader. Now he ministers in all 14 junior and senior high schools in Clay County with a passion to "make Him known" to and through coaches and their athletes. John and his wife Monica, also a successful school administrator and FCA volunteer, reside in Green Cove Springs, FL with their two children Jackson and Savanna
